Christmas is around the corner and the time to start stressing about gifts is around the corner. However, fear not, Dialed Tennis is here to save the day. We'll keep it simple, I will review three famous tennis books. Hopefully, you will be able to figure out which one will best suit your tennis loved one.
This is very much the classic tennis book gift idea. You will need to make sure they haven't read it by now but if they haven't, they will love it. The Inner Game is a thought-provoking book that takes you deep inside the mental makeup of any tennis player. Very much considered the first of its kind. Timothy Gallwey takes you on a psychological journey that will make you question your inner workings. Overall, good book but the reader has to be open-minded to enjoy the book.
Winning Ugly is more of a blue-collar approach to tennis. For readers who aren't looking for their brains to explode, this would be your best bet. Winning Ugly has tons of great content, and is written by the one and only, Brad Gilbert, former top 10 player. If you are looking for a book that isn't as outlandish as The Inner Game, this would be your best bet.
By far the best tennis autobiography there is. Open by Andre Agassi takes you through the wild ride of his grand slam-winning career. He illustrates the rollercoaster ride of tennis better than anyone else. If you are looking for a real and exciting book, this is one that you will not regret purchasing.
Honorable Mention: Federer
Granted it is a coffee table book and you likely will buy it more for show than anything else, but Fed fans will be happy with this purchase.
